WHAT TO SEE |
Situated in the heart of the Sabina region, La Collinetta is a
great place for those who love active holidays. The guests can take an
interesting walk in the district of Casperia, which is located within 3 km of La
Collinetta. Entering the village and taking a tour through its squares and
alleys which wind inside the old walls, one travels back in time. Casperia is
one of the few European villages where all traffic is banned and hence it is
renowned for its medieval architecture, which has remained intact through the
ages.

Also La Sabina, with its hills stretching away from Valle del Tevere to the Sabini mountains, offers interesting tours around its area. Travelling down the state roads which connect the local districts and areas, one can admire beautiful views. The visitors should not miss such attractions as the Farfa monastery from the 5th century and the Vescovio sanctuary from the 6th century. Typical medieval architecture as well as other interesting sights can be found in the nearby villages, such as Roccantica, Tarano, Montebuono, Montasola.

Due to the structure of its lands, La Sabina is known for olive cultivation and the most delicate olive oil extracted from the olives grown here. Therefore, we also suggest seeing the biggest olive tree in Europe (Canneto) and visiting the museum of olive oil (Castelnuovo di Farfa).
